Peter smiled for a moment as he started to swim to shore, kicking powerfully until they reached the shore. He laid the girl across the sand and patted her shoulder with an elder-brotherly air.
"Are you okay, miss?" he asked carefully, hoping that there wasn't anymore lung in her lungs than she had already coughed up. "Do you need any help?"

An arm was wrapped around her waist as Andrin completely lost feeling in her hands and feet. She felt whisps of hair float onto and away from her face until the water broke over her head and allowed her to breathe, slightly. Her eyes threatened to open, but didn't, until a hand touched her face.
Her eyes fluttered open and she started coughing violently, water starting to spill from her mouth instead of carbon dioxide. The Telmarine Girl clung to her rescuer for dear life, frightened of starting to drown again.

Bubbles.
There were bubbles from somewhere. Peter dove further and searched the water with slightly burning eyes. A girl floating, seeming almost lifeless. He stroked violently until he reached the girl and wrapped his right arm around her waist, pushing off the ground with his feet and kicking quickly until breaking the surface.
He cast a quick look at the girl in his arm and used the hand of that arm touch her face lightly, to try to wake her up before heading to shore.

Andrin's legs flailed desperately as she tried to swim to the surface, but the little amount of air in her lungs made such an action very hard to do. She felt feeling start to leave her arms and legs and her fingers grew numb. The Telmarine opened her mouth and four bubbles floated out before she closed her eyes and started to drift. A faint sound of splashing above her didn't phase her from her drifting for one moment.

A squeal and a splash met Peter's ears, causing him to look out over the river once again. His eyes met an over-turned boat. Gasping, he ran down the hill to the riverbank.
Without thought, Peter took off the sweater-vest he wore, his shoes, and his socks and ran into the water, the feeling of being High King Peter rushing through him as he searched the water.
Was he just hearing or seeing things when he had heard the squeal? Was it caused by his throwing the rock down to the river? Shaking his head as he reached the overturned boat, he took a deep breath and dove down.

Andrin closed her eyes for a moment as she laid across the floor of the rowboat. She tried to avoid the fact that she was nearing Cair Paravel, where the Kings and Queens of old were told to have lived. Where people had seen Aslan.
Aslan. the thought made her sigh and try to roll onto her side. This movement upset the boat, sadly, and the once steady floor she lay against was seemingly gone. Andrin quickly sat up in time for a rock to graze her already cut cheek, causing her to flinch and upset the boat more.
The final movement sent the Telmarine tumbling from the boat and into the cold water with a squeal.

Peter looked behind him and started to run further through Cair Paravel. His old home. Where he really "grew up" in his eyes. Here he was High King Peter of Narnia. He frowned. It was all bittersweet and amazing at the same time.
Back in Narnia.
But his home was destroyed. His palace. He leaned against a pillar with his elbow and tossed a small rock down to the river below, aiming downriver and frowning deeper. How had this happened?
Peter shook his head and diverted to the mindframe of High King Peter, a hero.

Andrin tilted her head to the side and moaned, her bare heels pressing into the dirt below. She moaned once more as she closed her eyes, thinking on old memories—what little she wanted to remember, anyway.
But one kept resurfacing.
Running away, to find…someone. Who was she trying to find anyway? Kind eyes and brown hair came to her mind. She knew she had known him or her before. Andrin shook her head, quickly sitting up and being reintroduced to a tree branch. The pain split her head again and almost screamed, clenching her teeth together and hands flying to the blooming bruise on her forehead, being joined my a small cut above her cheekbone caused by running through a group of trees with empty branches, one sharper than she had expected.
A weak gasp and then a small whimper escaped Andrin as she felt the cut, the sensitive skin therein stinging terribly at the touch, and her thoughts drifted to what she was trying to do.
